Coming off its SWC championship the Weston girls' swimming and diving team captured the Class S state title. The diving competition was in Plainville on November 14 with the swimming events at Southern Connecticut State University in New Haven on November 19.
Weston tallied 893.5 points for the triumph and had several top-five finishes, including individual and relay champs.
In the 200 yard medley relay team of Sarah Franco, Bella Gary, Nicole Linell and Katherine Linell was first in a time of 1:49.74.
Ally Bradley was fifth in the 200 free in 1:59.36.
Gary, Franco and Olivia Huewe were the top three finishers in the 200 individual medley race with times of 2:07.28, 2:12.01 and 2:14.56.
Katherine Franco placed third in the 50 free in 25.03.
Elisabeth Katz won the diving competition with a score of 434.45.
Bradley was first in the 100 butterfly in a time of 58.85. Nicole Linell was fourth in 59.92 and Kelly Leahy was fifth in 1:01.65.
Katherine Franco finished second in the 100 in 54.31.
The 200 free relay team of Katherine Franco, Bradley, Adele Kopis and Katherine Linell was second in 1:40.73.
In the 100 backstroke race Huewe and Sarah Franco finished fourth and fifth with times of 1:00.44 and 1:00.46.
In the 100 breaststroke event, the Trojans had the top three finishers. Gary finished in 1:04.52, Nicole Linell in a time of 1:05.65, and Katherine Linell in 1:08.04.
Weston earned third in the 400 free relay race as the team of Katherine Franco, Bradley, Sara Franco and Gary finished in 3:39.32.
Barlow had 231 points. The Falcons were led by the 200 medley relay team of Madison Hawks, Zoe Skidell, Danae O'Dean and Liberty Nocito in sixth place with a time of 2:01.41.
O'Dean was seventh in the 50 in 25.33.
The 400 relay team of Grace Bujdud, Sophia Taylor, Hayden Beach and O'Dean was seventh in 3:59.13.
