The most recent hard-fought battle was in a 44-42 win over Bethel on January 23. The Falcons defeated Pomperaug 44-42 in the season opener, a precursor for things to come. Other nail-biting wins included a 50-49 Edging of Brookfield and a 58-52 victory over Stratford. The Falcons lost to New Fairfield 59-57 and Newtown 55-53.
In the Bethel game, the Falcons were led by Clark Gilmore with 17 points. Tom Richetelli scored 12, Carter Janki added 10 and Austin DeLuca tacked on five.
Bethel was led by Luke Lacey with 11, and Dylan Breeland and Mikey Schmidt each with 10. Lorenzo Almonte added six and Nate Correard contributed five.
