Overtime Thriller For Pomperaug At Stratford

Trailing by a point with only about a tick on the scoreboard clock remaining in overtime, the Pomperaug boys' basketball team earned an ultra-dramatic win at Stratford on February 4.


Andrew Doan scored off of an inbound pass from Ethan Gomulinski with 0.4 seconds left in extra play for a 60-59 win.


This marks Pomperaug's sixth straight victory. Dion Zhuta scored 22 points and grabbed 11 rebounds. Adam Opalka had 12 points and Doan scored 10.


Stratford was led by Joey August with 24, Jayquan Kirkland with 15 and Mike D'Aloia with 10.


Pomperag visits Weston, winners of seven of eight, on Friday, February 7 at 7 pm.
