The Brookfield boys' swimming and diving team defeated host Newtown 100-80 on January 7.
Kristopher Janney won the 200 yard freestyle event in a time of 1:53.62, edging his closest-competitor by less than a second.
Jude Boukarroum claimed first in the 200 individual medley race in a time of 2:11.63, narrowly edging teammate Leonardo Tamer (2:11.60).
Ben Mangold won the diving competition with a score of 181.40.
Out of the diving break, the Bobcats won three straight events. Tamer took first in the 100 butterfly, making his final touch in a time of 57.55. Nathan Kaalman was first in the 100 freestyle race in 54.09. Janney took the top spot in the 500, clocking in at 5:05.69.
Chase Vesey and Kaalman helped Brookfield seal the team win with a one-two outcome in the 100 backstroke race. Vesey won in a time of 59.33, and Kaalman finished in 1:00.67.
The Bobcats exhibitioned the rest of the final two events. Matt DeStefano had the fastest time in the 100 breaststroke event, finishing in 1:07.20. The 400 free relay team of Janney, Kaalman, Vesey and Boukarroum had the fastest time (3:35.62).
